A $1 experiment, run by one person · getone.world
Can 100 million strangers make one person rich?
One dollar. You get a numbered piece of the experiment.I keep the dollar. That's the whole deal.
The pitch
Here's the pitch, and I'm not going to dress it up.
I want 100 million people to give me one dollar each.
Not for a charity. Not for a startup. Not for a cause.
I keep the money.
I'm 37. I have a job. I'm not broke. I just want to know if the internet would do this for a stranger who asked honestly.
Your dollar buys a numbered digital piece, somewhere between #00000001 and #100000000, that changes every time this thing hits a milestone.
Maybe 100 million people say yes. Maybe 100 do.
Either way, you were there. Your number says so.
No financial return of any kind. No promise you can resell it. The art only evolves if the milestones actually happen.

I only show countries, never people. A refunded dollar is not "collected", it is refunded, and the map treats it that way.
Your ONE.
The number is yours forever.
The art is not done yet.
Every piece is generated from its own number, so no two look alike. When the experiment hits a milestone, every piece ever issued unlocks a new layer at the same time. The first 1,000 are Genesis. There will never be more than 1,000 of those.
Genesis · unlocks at 1,000 paid participants. The core circle. The first identity.
How it works
It takes about 40 seconds.
Pay the dollar
Card, Apple Pay, whatever Stripe takes. No account, no wallet, no crypto, no newsletter.
Get a number
Issued the second the payment clears, in order. Pay now and your number is lower than everyone who pays after you. That is the only advantage anyone gets here.
Watch it change
Milestones are public. When one is hit, your piece gets a new layer. If it never happens, it never happens. I am not going to fake it.
Show it off, or don't
Every number has a public page and a share image. Put your name and country on it, or stay a number. Your email never shows up anywhere.
The experiment
How this ends,
probably.
No countdown, no fake deadline. The only tension here is real: either people keep paying or they stop.
Curiosity gets you here. The honesty is why you trust it. The number is why you pay. The milestones are why you come back.

The question
Day zeroOne person asks the internet for 100 million dollars, one at a time, and publishes the rules before taking a cent.
- II
The first ones
GenesisWhoever pays first gets the lowest numbers. There are exactly 1,000 Genesis pieces. Those people will be insufferable about it. Fair.
- III
The map fills up
ProofCountry by country. Every dot is a real, cleared payment. Refunds come off.

The art changes
MilestonesAt 100K, 1M, 10M and 100M, every piece ever issued changes at the same time. Nobody gets left behind and nobody gets an upgrade for inviting friends.

The answer
The endAt some point it either happens or it stops. I publish the result either way, including the number everybody actually wants to know: how much I made.
Transparency
The uncomfortable part, in writing.
I keep the money.
Revenue minus Stripe fees, refunds, hosting and taxes goes to me. Not to a foundation, not to "the community". To me. You are reading this before paying, not in a terms page.
What a dollar buys.
A numbered digital piece, a public page that proves it is yours, the artwork to download, and every future layer the experiment unlocks.
What it doesn't buy.
Equity, a share of anything, a say in anything, or a promise it will be worth more later. If someone offers you a "ONE. investment", it is a scam.
The numbers, published.
Participants, pieces issued, gross, fees, refunds, net. Updated as it runs. Including the ugly weeks.
Refunds and chargebacks.
A reversed payment marks the piece as reversed on its public page and takes it out of every count. The number stays burned. Nobody else gets it.
Your data.
Email to deliver your piece and, only if you tick the box, milestone updates. Country is optional and only ever shown as a total.
ONE. is run by one person. I am not publishing my name here, but Stripe, my bank and the tax office have it. The legally required operator details will be on this page before checkout opens.
Still here?
What if 100 million strangers said yes?
One dollar. One number. Let's find out.
I keep the money. You knew that already.
